Shouldn't be 'thread crapping' to say I pretty much liked Prometheus, it's a nice addition to the bundle, and nice deal. I remember when the Alien Quadralogy alone was like $120.

How is the PQ on the earlier movies? Wondering if the Blu-Ray will be significantly better than just streaming them? Well assuming I even can find them on Netflix or Amazon to start with.

I've got the Alien Anthology on BR and I've got 1-3 on DVD. Aliens showed by far the most significant improvement on BR, and in my opinion it was worth me buying the Anthology just for that.

Aliens was shot using crappy film, so the DVD looks incredibly grainy. The BR version was remastered.

The only one I saw recently is the original Alien and I have to say the PQ is outstanding. For such an old film, they did a tremendous job on the remaster.

I think I am in for this Bundle as well and call me crazy but I liked Prometheus and cant wait to see the sequel. The only thing I didn't like is that the movie ended so abruptly like they rushed the movie out and never finished the entire story plot.I already have the trilogy on dvd but the picture quality is very dotty or grainy for a better lack of term. I hope this has been fixed for the blu-ray set. Yeah so anyways this is a great deal 5 movies for $20 is a steal considering just a couple of months ago the bos set was like $99.96 at Wal-Mart.

Thank you for posting this! I ordered it earlier in the week & getting it tomorrow. Enjoyed all the Alien movies & Prometheus. I enjoy horror/science fiction, even the stuff most people consider pretty bad or far out there!

still holding out for the director edition/extended edition etc... for prometheus. they keep denying it but come on, this is hollywood and we know they have a good amount of not used footage.

Grain is usually a desirable feature for most videophiles. It indicates that the film hasn't been overfiltered and has the proper bitrate. It's usually only noticeable when you see a solid color background, especially noticeable in greens, blues and grays........ unless you mean noise which almost looks like static that is sitting over the top of the film and can be very annoying as the dots just come and go from frame to frame.
