8-95 home page

Not sure what the big announcement following the sale is all about, but I?ve been satisfied with Gary's service at Dixiesys since he started his webhosting business that started a big thread here a few years ago.
note: Dixiesys and 8-95 are somehow related yet Dixiesys customers are allowed to sign up at this price as new customers. Futurehost is now under their umbrella also I believe.
I know Gary is a member here, perhaps he could drop in and explain the relationship.

I personally am going after the reseller account.

The reseller account during the 3 for 1 sale gets you;
1800 Megs of space
24 gigs of bandwidth
up to 36 Domains
$8.95
a month
using DirectAdmin for the control panel

I've had a few of my domains hosted with Dixiesys and 8-95.com for a few years now. Just combined them all into one account with this sale. :) Thanks for letting me know it had started!

I own both sites, I just took a partner with 8-95.com and Dixiesys.com is 100% mine.

I bought a whole slew of servers last month and figured it was time for a sale so they don't sit there empty :)

I have used Dixiesys and 8-95.com for my sites as well (now use a friends hosting company...can't beat FREE). Gary and his crew are great at what they do.

If I currently have 1 or 2 sites on Dixiesys - can I add on to them with this sale to increase storage size, etc?

I registered at 7:35pm yesterday, my account was up an running by 7:45pm, and my domain (http://www.freepokerchipset.info) is all up and running already :)

DirectAdmin is AWESOME! Sooooo much better than cPanel! I am sure it will be awhile before I can learn to use all the features that it has!!!

Mad props to 8-95.com on the service thus far!

I was looking for a reseller account, as a long-time very satisfied customer of Gary's, I think I'll have to jump in on this one.

First, though, anyone know about these details?

I see the details page of the 8-95 accounts say POP3 + Webmail for email. Do these 8-95 3-for-1 reseller accounts also offer IMAP, or are they strictly POP3 + Webmail?

Can we have branded DNS servers (ns1.myresellerhost.com instead of 8-95's DNS) on reseller accounts?

Are static IPs available?

Is Installatron available?

Thanks, OP!

EDIT: The description says "MySQL Database." I hope this doesnt mean only one db.

I just transfered over to a 3-for-1 sale, and I was able to create three different MySQL dbs. One difference I found between DixieSys and 8-95 is that I can't seem to have a single user have access to all three MySQL dbs. I had to create an account with each db, and I can't seem to figure out how to grant an existing user the rights to access the other dbs.

Well, I signed up without getting the answers because they have that 30 day money-back guarantee. So far the only thing I can answer for sure is: No, no Installatron. :(
edit: BTW, yes, IMAP is available and working. --I am so impressed by the super-quick DNS resolution.

I won?t deny being a webhosting novice and I had not heard of installatron. One click script install sounds nice, but I (remember I?m a novice) have not had problems installing things like WordPress or Coppermine on my Dixiesys DA accounts just by googleing a bit. The price doesnt seem unreasonable and perhaps with enough requests... I?m more interested in a server side spam filter.

Oh, and as a reseller at least, it appears I can assign unlimited MySQL databases
