[Dead] $60 1080P Acer monitor

Thanks! One of the reviews on BestBuy's Ebay site, on the page for that monitor, mentioned refurbish but looking like new.

But the Ebay listing says "new", and BestBuy.com 's listing doesn't say anything about a refurb, so I think that we're good.

I ordered two of them as backups for my current 1080P monitors, although one might go to a friend that doesn't yet have a 1080P monitor. He's still using VGA too, and last time I was over there, his monitor seemed slightly blurry. So I need to find out if his current monitor (was from the electronics recycler) has DVI or not. I might just need to get him a cable and not a new monitor.

Edit: Got some DVI-to-HDMI cables. HDMI to the video card, DVI to the monitor.

Man VL I'd love to go through your collection. You still got any vintage stuff around? Like from the 486 to P2 era?

That was quick! Glad I jumped on it. It doesn't have HDMI or speakers, and isn't a 24" class, but what the hey, it was cheap enough for a backup screen (or two).

I'll see what my friend using a VGA connection for his 1440x900 screen thinks of it. Maybe he'll want one of them.
