Circuit City has the Kingston 512MB PC2700 Valueram for $139.99 - $40 Circuit City rebate - $30 Kingston rebate = $69.99.

Now go to OfficeMax.com and print out the Kingston DDR Memory Module page. Note that the 512MB PC2700 is $99.98. Bring the page in to Circuit City to price match. If need be, inform them that shipping is free above $50. If the manager will only let you do either price match or rebates, take the price match; you can print rebates from your home PC.

$139.99
- $44.01 PM to OfficeMax
- $40 Circuit City rebate
- $30 Kingston Rebate
________
25.98 + Tax on $99.98

Circuit City's site also has many positive reviews on this ram. While I can't guarantee that it'll hit PC3200, my friend's 2700 Valueram had no problem running at PC3200, and I bet that it could probably run even higher had we tried. In addition, I have a PC2100 256MB Valueram and it runs fine upwards of 170MHz at CAS2. Good stuff!

I just got a stick. So far, it looks like my overclocking ventures aren't going very well. I'll keep testing stability and I'll see how far it goes before completely failing out. I'm at 170 at 2.5V CAS 2.5 right now.

you need to run the ram at 2.6v...it looks like most pc3200 needs 2.6v..also try lowering to cas3

I bought this couple weeks back and I am at 2.6v...2.5/3/3/6

Ok, so far I'm at 185. CAS 2 (I thought it was on 3, but it was on 2), 2.5V (Pushing it up to 2.77 didn't help). I figured out my problem. I changed my VDD from 1.60 to 1.80 (nForce 2 ultra 400). That VDD was holding me back.

At my store there were two kinds of ram. One was labeled Kingston (I don't think they make their own chips; must have been relabeled) and another, Elpida. I got the Kingston kind since it looked similar to the unlabeled chips I've seen on ValueRam in the past. And yes, the unlabeled chips got me 200 on PC2700 and 170 on PC2100. :)

Looking good so far!

On CAS 2, 2.5v, I went up to 186. 187 was unstable. Just changed it to CAS 2.5, 2.63v.

Finally got to 200: 2.5/4/4/11. 2.63v. Now I get to work on my multiplier again. I may optimize timings a bit more later on, but this is good ram :)

My PC feels quite speedy!

Here's the best stable settings I found running this as PC3200:

2.5V (Yes, no voltage bump), 2.5/3/3/11 (I run an nForce 2 so I'll leave the last value as 11). Apparently my CPU can't do over 2.10, so I've pretty much maxed out performance now.

I'm gonna give it a shot on monday.

I can definitely use one of these and I have had good luck with Circuit City rebates.

Wow, that's pretty good. What voltage, and what markings are on the chips themselves?

Btw, I recently read somewhere, that up until recently, Nanya was the primary supplier of DRAM to Kingston. So some of those unlabled or Kingston-remarked chips might be Nanya, which IIRC was a pretty decent chip mfg. (Although Hynix is probably the most top-tier today, besides Winbond, but Winbond exited the market.)

Will the circuit city rebate work with the price match? I can sure use another 512mb for UT2004.

Yea, all the CC rebates have worked for me: even after I did a PM to another store. IIRC, it's only BB that bars rebates after you PM.

Hm, are you certain about that? I am very doubtful about that indeed. Just some horror stories I heard, though.

Did u happen to buy it first and then pm it later, so you'll have the original receipt with the full price stated? or do you just pm it when buying and send in the receipt with the pmed price for rebate? thx
