Not trying to thread crap but I would personally stick with the 7" HP Stream 7 Signature Edition from the Microsoft Store. Twice the built-in memory at 32gb vs 16gb. No bloatware installed. Same resolution as the 8" so it'll appear a bit crisper (but smaller) on the 7". It's been $79 for months now and for a while now you also get a $25 gift card for the MS store to use toward a case, OTG adapter, whatever you want. That's $30 more than the OP though but if you figure in the gift card it's a lot closer in overall price. I love mine.

Only "negative" I see is the 8" is using the F model of the CPU which has a higher (double) memory bandwidth due to the 64bit vs 32bit memory channel width of the G model. But from reviews I've read, being that these are 1GB budget tablets, there is little to no performance difference. They both go to 1.83ghz (turrrbo powah) as well.

At least Digiland's Android tablets have spyware in the factory firmware image. Stay far away!!!

Edit: Let me elaborate. I purchased several of the Digiland tablets, that were the MediaTek quad-core with 512MB of RAM and Android. Out of the box, they don't have spyware, but let them on wifi, and then they soon auto-update the base firmware to an image that includes "Clean Master", which has quite the list of Android permissions. Essentially, it can take over your device. Worse yet, you cannot remove it, because it is part of the base firmware image.

Given the absurd amount of permissions, soon other apps start mysteriously appearing on the tablet, like a flashlight app, that also wants total control of your device, and the app icon's title is "Settings". Gee, how quaint. I guess that they want the user to click on that...

I played with this tablet earlier today. I liked everything about it - performance, price, very decent cameras that aren't literal shit, battery life (6 hrs), and price. Price is just mind blowing.

I wouldn't touch Digiland products with a fifty-foot pole. They're pure subsidized Chinese spyware. Why do you think that they're so cheap?

This, totally. HP is reputable. Digiland is not.

Stop being dense. Digiland is assembled by Foxconn... You know, same place where your HP tablet is assembled.

Well, they're including Chinese spyware in their firmware image on their android tablets, I know that much.

Foxconn is Hong Hai Mfg Company in China, you knew that, right?

Taiwan != China. We are talking about Windows OS which has very different security schemes than Android.
