Just a warning about Cendyne.....They are hit and miss with the rebates...My latest was filled out correctly(I kept copies) and they still still came back with a "serial number is not valid". Since there is no number to call, you may go thru some grief trying to get them to fix a rebate problem. Mine is not isolated, I've heard and read where others have had the same problems.

The rebate center number is 1-877-598-3348 (it's on the rebate form), It looks like the rebates are handle by RebatesHQ.com, if so you can check your rebate at their web site. Also I have heard that they have cleared up the problems they were having with this rebate.

Does Officemax have best price guarantee?

I got two drives, one online, one BM, both with $25 coupons last week. I believe it was $119. I wonder if we can get $10 back.

Picked this up last night at OM B&M -- I returned the Cendyne 16x I ordered from the website and got this drive. Mine was a Teac, with Nero software. Weird thing, though, the Cendyne 16x drive I returned kept coming up at a price of $67 when the clerk + manager tried to process the return. They had to override the system to give my the $89 price I paid at OM.com.

I just bought the 16X CenDyne. I haven't opened it yet, and it may just be going back to OfficeMax on Saturday.

Good deal.

freeabc,

YMMV, however, when I talked with a guy at OM this morning, he said I could bring back my Cendyne drive (even if opened) and they would refund the $10. He said I would just return the drive and re-buy it at the lower price. I haven't actually done it, and your OM may not be as flexible.

Thanks, Rileyrr.

I have not opened either drive or remove UPC. So I will give it a try. The manager might not like it because there is $25 "discount" on the receipt.

What was the price on the CenDyne 24x that you pruchased? Have OfficeMax already lowered the price on this drive to $109.99???. Because the sales are suppose to start Sun. 2-17.

officeMax's low price guarantee, copied from their web site.

(To help you save more on your office product purchases, OfficeMax.com features its own low price guarantee. If you happen to find a lower price anywhere on an identical item, just show us the price and we will match it! If, within 14 days of your purchase at OfficeMax.com, you encounter a lower price anywhere, we will also refund the difference.*)

The CenDyne 24x10x40 drive may or may not be on their web site Sunday when this sale starts. If not what you can do is print-out the page with a $25 off $100 coupon on it, and take that to your local store, and tell your one of those friendly OfficeMax manages that you were going to buy the drive on-line, but you couldn't fine it, and would he (or she) honor the $25 coupon, so you can purchase the drive in the store from him or her. Or just say they are out of stock on-line (and hope he dosen't check), and would he honor the $25 coupon. This has worked before, for a number of poeple, but it up the to manage to decide to honor the $25 coupon or not.

Can anyone find the Cendyne 24x10x40 drive on this OM site? I can only find the 16X . . .

Do you think they pulled it from their website until Sunday?

CenDyne 24x wasn't on the web site, so there was nothing for them to put. Last week the 16x CenDyne drive wasn't on their web site until Sunday morning.

I just got a 24x Cendyne at OM 1/18/02. It had a $30 rebate, while this is for $40. I can participate in this one without worrying about the 1-per-household limitation right?

BTW, it was an Aopen. Good drive, but, evidently picky about media.

I bought the Drive Jan 20th. ($20 MIR Rebate)

Just received a post card from the CenDyne rebate center. They think the Serial Number that I submitted is not correct. I did submit a serial number that I cut from the box. My drive is Aopen. Maybe they need the serial number from the drive not from the box. But I don't have the drive anymore.

Please someone copy me the serial number from the 24X10X40 drive.

Thanks in advance.

badboy82....(can you pricematch something AFTER you buy it?)

Yes, but it's called a low price guarantee.
