Had the same problem when I tried to access the rebate on a machine running XP, but then I went over to my win98 box and was able to pull it right up.

I got some K-Byte RAM recently, and the manufacturer on the chips was "SpecTek", which turns out to be Micron's repair/remanufacture operation. Second-quality stuff. So I think the moral of this story is to check the chips and make sure you're getting something halfway decent.

If you have a popup stopper you'll have to turn it off.
I had to turn off AdShield to view it (I'm running XP).

do you guys recommend getting this to go with already 768mb of crucial memory to go to 1 gig? i do not plan to overclock. will this in any way slow my system down compared to just crucial alone?

Made the order at staples.com with a $10 off of $50 coupon. Called Staples for pricematch. They already had some kind of pm logic worked out, where they gave you the 110% pm, but made sure to charge you for expensive $11.99 next day shipping, cause it would be delivered the next business day. I tried to explain that it is available for me to pick up at my local microcenter B&M, but they were set in stone on this.

By the time my $10 coupon was applied, the total came out to $46.09 incl. tax, less $30 mir = 15.09.

My microcenter total is $34.97 less $20 mir = $14.97.

Add postage, and that's $30.80 for 512mb!:)

I wonder what would happen if I went to Staples B&M with my microcenter receipt (for instore p/u) and tried to pm?

:D

Anyone know how long it usually takes to get an e-mail confirming you can pick-up the item in store? I placed my order a few hours ago, and wanna pick it up tommorow.

Deadbeats at Kbyte never paid the $10 rebate for a stick purchased at Best Buy over a year ago. Heads up, and be careful. This is a nice deal at $12.99, but not so nice if it ends up costing you $32.99 + a stamp and annoyance.

So I bought some more Kbyte sdram, with rebate, last month. A Staples deal with a Staples rebate. I would't touch it otherwise.

Low quality ram. The sdram I received had 6 month old off-brand chips on it. It does run ok in a secondary system.

I picked up a stick and put it in my secondary rig, next to a stick of Kingston. Unit is running fine, no problems, but I'm not oc'ing or planning on it.
