Good Deal
Bought a pack to replace the cheapos in all my infant daughters toys.
Electric piano on low batteries..... not a good experience! Ya know what I mean?

Thought I heard BB was low on stock. Mine are shipping and I ordered early this morning (albeit ground). May actually get them before the holidays.

Almost bit on 48 Maxell AA Bats for $12 ($7 after rebate) at CC..... too lazy for a $5 rebate.

Thanks for the post!

Aztech - yes, BUT they drain without using them, so they are only recommended for high-drain devices, like digital cameras, CD Players, etc. You may have to recharge them in 30 days with no use. They recharge 500-1000 times and can be quite powerful.

hell yeah, even though those aren't very good brands its still a good deal for a 48 pack, usually its about 10 bucks for a 20 pack of duracell or energizer

yes
and they last longer - in cameras, much longer
and after you have charged them 20 times you are saving money for the next 1000 charges or so - hug that tree

Maximize the performance of High Drain Devices with Maxell Nickel Metal Hydride Batteries.

? Take more pictures with Digital Cameras

? Listen to more hours of music on Portable CD Players

? Play more hours on Handheld Games

Why Nickel Metal Hydride?
A one time investment of $18 for four AA NiMH Batteries will save the consumer over $35 versus Premium Alkaline batteries.
And that is only during the first 100 hours of usage!

The big advantage to Alkalines or disposable Li-Ion batteries is that they'll have a charge for years.... NiMH will lose 2-4% charge per day....making them bad for devices that are idle/low-draw most of the time.

(info from consumer reports Nov 03 issue...info regarding digital camera use, but good info none the less)
Digital power

To power a digital camera, nothing beats rechargeable nickel-metal hydride batteries. One NiMH battery would last at least as long as about 140 disposable lithium cells or 500 disposable alkalines.
--------------------------------------------------
Rechargeable NiMH
1.5¢ per 100 photos
$3.50 per battery

Disposable lithium
$1.40 per 100 photos
2.50 per battery

Disposable alkaline
2.20 per 100 photos
1.10 per battery

I went to BB and bought these. I had trouble finding them because they were in the audio dept - not with the other battteries. And on the pack it say "Long Lasting for Digital Electronics" and says "Best for" and has pictures of a CD player and camera. Are these okay for low-drain devices??

Too lazy to go to BB to get these!

Closest BB is 60 miles away.. not a hot deal if I have to waste $10 in gas both ways.

I rather have the free UPS shipping :)

Thanks for the heads up.

I remember getting a 24pk of kodak alkalines from buy.com 2-3 years back for $6 or $7 for the pack, so this is definitely a sweet deal.

I mainly use AA/AAA's in small electronics (remotes, calculators, etc...), and that 24 pk lasted at least 3 yrs..

Great deal!!!!!!!

My my people are certainly antagonistic aren't they?

Are these alkaline or manganese-based "heavy duty" batteries as they're usually called?

What good is free shipping if you can't add it to your cart because it's backordered?

BTW.. I found some at my local BB today. They probably had some left because they were in the battery section marked at $20 instead of the $10 sale price. The funny thing is that there were at least 20 BB workers standing around as usual picking their ass. I'm glad that they couldn't find time to mark the sale price. ;)

Now that I have 48 AA batteries, I'm going to be like Mickey Rourke's character in Barfly this holiday season. "Batteries for all my friends!". :D
