DDWRT flash went bad at final step HELP!

I followed the wiki from the actual DDWRT website, which is this: http://dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Linksys_WRT54G_v8.0_&_v8.2 which is the same as this guide i just found that looks a little neater: http://www.simplehelp.net/2008/09/11/how-to-flash-the-linksys-wrt54g-v8-with-the-dd-wrt-firmware/

The router is a WRT54G v8. I have flashed DDWRT a few times before, this specific router was a little different though.

I got to the last step which is to use tftp2 to flash the actual firmware (yes i was able to ping the router in the previous step) and then i waited 2 minutes, and i got nothing. I then tried a hard reset, plugging/unplugging etc, and nothing is working. Right now the 4 1234 light are on and the internet light is also lit up (only power plugged in)

I'm not sure what my next step should be, I'm 90% sure that I was on track until that final step though.

so to update, did another hard 505050 reset, and it seemed to make some progress at least.

The lights on the front are working as if the flash went well. Steady power light, wan is steady, and when i plug in a cable the corresponding light turns on. (which would also not indicate a bad flash)

I can ping the router, and finally now when i go into 192.168.1.1, it giving me an update password page, but is very different from ones ive seen in the past. This one the screen is all white. The name of the page in firefox is update password, and there is no actual text on the web page, just 3 blank boxes where the update password feild would normally be.

The only way i can explain it is that the page only starts to load and doesn't finish.

Any ideas from here?
