Just finished putting together my first system... Everything is so far so good. How ever when I run MemTest86+ it's listing my memory as DDR460..

I also get a whole list of red errors right off the bat.

RAM: DDR2 4GB PC6400 PATRIOT 800MHz (x2 sticks)
CPU: AMD Athlon X2 - 5200+

Am I missing something? Apperciate any info. Learning as I go. =)

Are you running the recommended voltage and timings by the manufacture? Did you insert the sticks into the right slots on the motherboard for dual channel? If not, please do so and run memtest again, if you get a bunch of errors again its RMA time as you got bad ram... unless I am missing something.

Mobo: ASUS - M2N-SLI Deluxe
Processor: AMD Athlon X2 5200+ (Windsor)
RAM: x2 sticks of PC2-6400 Patriot, 800MHZ, 5-5-5-12, 2.0V

The timings are running as specified on the RAM currently. My question is what should the frequency be running at? It says 400MHZ, is it not suppose to be 800MHZ? If it's suppose to be 400MHZ, shouldn't the channel says "dual" and not single?

Edit: RAM is slotted closest to the CPU, side by side.

Problem solved - Had to change the locations of the sticks. Busted out the manual while trying to find a solution and there it was in front of me. :)

Now I just need to get them running at 800MHZ instead of 746MHZ. Time to learn how to OC huh?
