DDR400 on DDR333 Slot??

Hi all,

I was wondering if i can use DDR400 memory in a DDR333 slot. I'm currently using i845GL based board and runnign a stick of 512MB DDR333. I'm thinking of changing my board to a Springdale/Canterwood when it's released around april. I would definitely go for it, but i have a need to took off the DDR333 stick and give it to my sister's XPC right now. If i buy a DDR400 now, will i be able to use it on my 845gl board? I mean lower clock speed is fine as long as it runs, just until i get my new board.

DDR266 (PC2100) all the way up to DDR466 (PC3700) all uses the same 184-pin socket. Just make sure you buy regular DIMMS and not SO-DIMMS and you should have no problems.

the ddr400 is just going to run at ddr333 speeds.
