DDR4 Dual-channel performance gains?

Hi, I wanted to ask people here if there are any performance gains in gaming using Dual-channel RAM vs. Single-channel.

I frequently give advice telling people which PC parts for gaming PCs to buy and usually when recommending them H110M motherboards I also tell them to get 1x8GB sticks instead of 2x4GB since the Dual-Channel gives them very little to no performance gains in gaming (which IS true with DDR3 memory) but recently I've seen people saying that Dual-Channel in DDR4 memory gives a significant boost in gaming - up to 15% FPS gains vs. Single-channel.

So my question is - is that true? Because I feel like I should be telling others to get 2x4GB sticks instead if the performance gains are so significant.

Thanks.

The gains aren't incredible but they are definitely notable and I'd say worth it. A 2-stick kit is often the same price, or even cheaper.
