Question DDR4 AND DDR5 both supported on same motherboard

I want to see more motherboards like this! I would love to be able to start out with DDR4, and then upgrade to faster DDR5 a year or so later, when it comes down in price.......

For the enthusiast, such a board is pointless. But for the OEM system-builders, having a single board SKU that can pair up with either DDR4 or DDR5, as supplies and prices dictate, could be valuable. Besides, most OEMs ship desktop systems with only one DIMM anyways.

Don't expect it to win any benchmarking contests.

Can these run with memory in both slots at the same time? (I'm thinking probably not)

Otherwise you'd be limited to a single stick of ram, right?

Correct, you can't have both types of memory in at the same time, so limited to a single stick of RAM. Of course, it would be nicer to have 2 slots of each
type of RAM, but I really think this is a nice option for future proofing, as long as you're not some sort of overclocking enthusiast.
