DDR4 and CAS

Looking to get some memory for an upgrade for my computer. From what I can see, a strong feeling of 3200 being a good speed point, and it's by far the largest section for the motherboards QVL. I'll be mostly gaming with this, and dont OC much, so looking for good long term performance.

With all that, how much benefit is there paying for the CAS 14 premium over 16?

With Ryzen rigs? The CAS14 stuff, is Samsung B-die (supposedly. Still?), whereas the CAS16 stuff is Hynix (or "other"?). Oftentimes, Hynix RAM that is rated 3200, won't even run at that speed in a Ryzen rig. But the Samsung B-die, runs top spec easily. Which is why, it's nearly twice the price.

For Intel, I suspect things aren't that dramatic, as far as differences, and the CAS16 / Hynix RAM should hopefully also work fine.
