DDR333 Outdated already?

I read the DDR333 memory roundup at Vr Zone just now.. Most of these memories are able to attain 200 Mhz or even up to 217 mhz! And Several dram producers (including Micron and Samsung) already showed DDR400 modules and they will be available in systems by summer!

Very few chipsets suport DDR333, no cpu today has 166 mhz FSB. Is almost the entire industry "skipping" DDR333 and going for DDR400?
It would make sense since it will give a pretty good performance boost and since it is almost here.

Maybe that's why AMD won't release a 166 mhz FSB T-bred!!

Just some random thoughts....

Btw.. just imagine the kind of d-ram performance on a P4 dual channel DDR400 setup! Thank you and g'bye RAMBUST!!

DDR400 is a bit far away still, 333 has been talked about for months, and is now still not available from crucial. 400 has been available since the die shrinks, just no real reason to make it.

DDR400 is just a stepping stone to DDRII, it will in all likely hood, be hard to get memory timings for it.
