I've got 2x2GB DDR3 right now, and they are CAS 7 rated. I got these last year when I was building my system. They work great w/ my Core I7 860.
Existing ram:
G.SKILL Ripjaws -- DDR3 1600/7-7-7-24/1.6V

Newegg is having a special for this set of RAM this afternoon ($65 AR, starting 1pm Eastern time).
OCZ Flex II - DDR3 1600/8-8-8-24/1.65V

My motherboard is an Asrock P55 pro , and it seems to be picking up the XMP profile at 1600 with the 7-7-7-24 timings. I don't see any other XMP profiles for me to choose from in my BIOS. Is there a chance that it will not "mesh" with the OCZ and end up being worse than 8-8-8-24?
Anyways, I'm not sure how much of a performance difference there will be w/ the different timings. I'm not OCing the system, so it's probably not that critical.
Do you guys see any reason not to get the OCZ Kit? $65 seems to be a great deal.
I do a fair amount of gaming on this system (tf2, sc2 etc) and sometimes run 2 or 3 VMs at the same time.
