Hello fellas,
I've just published a DDR3 Memory Roundup and thought you might want to take a look at it.
Let me quote myself a bit 😛:

I've just published a DDR3 Memory Roundup and thought you might want to take a look at it.
Let me quote myself a bit 😛:
Are you looking for some good DDR3 Memory Kit to buy in anticipation of the new motherboards equipped with Intel's forthcoming X48 chipset and nVIDIA's forthcoming nFORCE 790i chipset ?
Come and take a look inside, we've got enthusiast grade kits from A-Data, CellShock, Corsair and Super Talent on our test bench running at screaming frequencies!
Which one's the best kit ? Best performance/price kit ?
If I was looking for a decent overclocking DDR3 memory kit right now, I'd definitely go with the CellShock DDR3-1800 8-7-6-21 kit, it comes at a very good price and the average retail overclock is looking good ( as seen on various forums and tests from users around the globe ).
The Super Talent DDR3-1600 CAS 7 kit is also worth looking at, and comes at a good price as well, however I can't see how anyone willing to throw 400$ out of his pocket, wouldn't pay 21$ more to get the CellShock CS3222580 kit mentioned above! 😛
I've seen some users with the Super Talent DDR3-1866 kit reaching wonderful speeds, but the price is very high, don't you think ? Maybe not...it's your wallet anyway, not mine :-D
As for the Super Talent DDR3-1333 kit... I wouldn't spend 195$ for that memory... I'd just use my 160$ to get 4GB of Crucial Ballistix DDR2-800 memory instead of going with DDR3.
The A-Data did fairly good, yet my fellow reviewers had better results than mine, I guess my bad luck played its part again :-D... however they have to lower the price a bit to "get into the game" in my opinion.
That's it for today folks, I'm off to start the tests for the Gigabyte X48T-DQ6 motherboard review...
