DDR3...buying now?

Hey, i'm on a DDR2 setup right now and if I can control myself, could keep this for a year. But knowing that the DDR3 prices are low, is it worth it to buy now for a later use? Like buying 4gb of DDR3-1600 now for 60CAD and keep it for later use/upgrade?

I've been buying the cheap mWave (Avexir AVD3U13330902G-1SW Standard Series) DDR3 for no reason. I pd $60 for 4x2gb sticks!

Your DDR2 is worth double DDR3. Upgrade now!

DRAM prices are expected to fall through the first half of 2011, as supply outstrips demand.

DDR3 will get cheaper and better, while DDR2 will continue to get more expensive. Who is making DDR2? But older systems still need it.

The longer you wait, the better your position will be (to a point).

DDR3 $20-25 per 2gb stick
DDR2 $19-24 per 2gb stick

talking about what i've seen recently. but now they have 1R X 4gb which uses a bit less than the old 2Rank design so we should see price drops as people ditch their old stock and get the new in (8gb sticks per gb cost the same as 4gb now mostly).
