DDR3 1333 vs 2400 in Lightroom?

Primary workflow is speeding up Lightroom processing. Responsiveness isn't great when switching photo to photo and on screen full detail rendering times on a 4k screen. Also a bit of gaming in Civ 6 and GoW and BF1.

Currently running 16gb Corsair XMS DDR3 1333 CL9 on a 4.7ghz i7 2600k on a Z77 Intel board. Running Samsung EVO SSDs and a Nvidia 1060.

Debating if it's worth it to upgrade the memory to some G.Skill DDR3 2400 16GB CL10 for $120. I would in a heart beat if it makes on-screen previews quicker when switching between files.

Not gonna make any real world difference. Make sure you have the catalog and the files all on SSDs. I'm running an oc'd 5820k @ 4.5, 16gb 3200ddr4 and 850 EVO and it's still a good 2-3 second delay going from picture to picture.

No big change,as mention above keep the 1333 cl9.or if you want put in some 1600 cl9,it will bump a bit. but not much

the most faster ram will get you is equivalent to ¬500mhz cpu oc so does overclocking your cpu that last 500mhz make a difference? if not ram wont help
if it does then there is a chance ram may help if the cpu is waiting on data from ram that is not in its cache

just from my experience in overclocking cpu\ram in cpu limited games http://www.overclock.net/t/1611359/...3-1600c11-2133c9-ddr4-2133c15-3000c12-4000c17
the performance also shows with file encryption like winrar\7zip and load times in some games
no idea if lightroom overflows the cache like those programs or not if not ram wont help if it does then how much it helps depends on how bad the overflow
the performance gain may only be 0-3% or it may be 10-20%

oh and 2133 is the max ram speed your 2600k will handle
2133c9 performs close to 2400c10 anyway
