DDR2700 or DDR3200

Currently I am running 1gig of Corsair DDR3200 my board specs read this:

3 184-pin DIMM sockets
Maximum of 3GB of DDR333/266 SDRAM
Maximum of 2GB of DDR400 SDRAM

So would it be better to upgrade to 2 gigs for DDR3200 or 3 gigs of a mix (2700 + 3200) ram?

A 'mix" is never a good idea, especially that you are already running the PC 3200 RAM.

BTW, are you running it at 333 or 400MHz...?

I would recommend the exact match in terms of voltage, frequency and timings - PC 3200.

I believe back in the day I tried to match them to my bus speed of my AMD Athlon XP 2700+ , which is 333mhz I believe.

If you really need the 3GB, you might want to try the 2700.

Your MB will not run it any higher than 333MHz anyway, correct...?

Just make sure that the voltage and timings match, ex. 2.5V and 2.5-3-3-7 @333MHz.

Good luck!

Unless you specifically need 3GB, I would say replace your 2x512 with 2x1024 and run it at 400mhz...
