I have an Asus P5B-E version 1.01 G which has a max VDimm of 2.1 V. I saw some hardware mod which might help increase the VDimm to 2.4V but after looking real close at the board it's not an option for me. I am sure I will screw it up.

I have some generic DDR2 667 at this time which can run at 401 at 5-6-6-17 at 1.9V but it not stable under Orthos. Boot OK but crashed after about 30 min.

I did look at the micron D9 but they usually requires 2.2 to 2.4 V which is out of the question for me. I would like to OC my E6300 to above 3Ghz, stable under Orthos for about 24 hrs.

I wonder if anybody has any suggestion for what is the best DDR2 for this low voltage situation.

D9's can easily do 4-4-4-12 @ 2.1 volts 429-430 mhz and if not 4-4-4 then 5-5-5 @ 2.1.

i'm sure others have tried 4-4-4-X @ 2.1 or lower with D9's or even promos or elpidas.

Thanks, I know that promos chips on G. Skill PK and HK series will work fine with 1.9 or 2.0.

I am toying with some OCZ D9 on sale at Fry's.

I do not have them. However I read the reports from Xtremsystems forums and they are very positive about them. Hitting 450-500 at 5-5-5-15 at 2,1V.

Sorry don't have the link handy right now.
