Your MB memory voltage should at least supply the JEDEC standard voltage for DDR2 of 1.8-1.9v
Set your BIOS memory option to automatic.

Yes I know. They messed up the traces on the PCB, lol. Lowest voltage it will give is 1.95. This board is great otherwise.

Overclock the ram, then the voltage will be appropriate. ;)

Worst case, the memory worth $40 or less after rebates dies. I wouldn't worry about it.

does it make the ram unstable? just run it as is...

It's fine, just don't want to lose 4GB of ram in a year and a half. DDR2 will be nonexistent by then.
I have a coworker who I can sell it to for about $35, I would take that and go buy some 2.0v RAM.

2v ram isn't gonna last any longer than 1.8v ram when running in 2v. 2v ram is just guranteed to get the advertised overclock at 2v, it has a JEDEC timing spec based on 1.8v and you can manually adjust the timings, mhz, and voltage to match the advertised values (and usually they are the exact same as the 1.8v models, only packaged in a different box)

running 2v will shorten the lifespan, but it will shorten it equally for a 2v rated ram.

Thanks; exactly what I was looking to confirm.
