DDR2 standard

In the process of building my first PC, I bought the Corsair Twin2X2048-6400 RAM and an ECS NForce 570 SLIT-A motheboard. Unfortunately, I overlooked the fact that the motherboard has a DDR2 667 standard, while the memory is DDR2 800.
Would the memory still run on this board, even at a lower speed? I don't want it to blow up or anything.

Thanks in advance!

It would run, and you can also likely force it to run at DDR2-800 speeds. Or you can save money and get standard 667Mhz memory.
