DDR2 Ripoff?

I was looking at newegg to buy some DDR2.

I noticed that the 533 MHz DDR2 had a latency of 4 whereas the 667 MHz DDR2 had a latency of 5 and was 1.5-2x the price!

Now please correct me if I'm wrong, but given the 5/4 ratio of the clocks and latencies, is this just a ripoff?
 
I've seen plenty of DDR2-667 with a latency of 4, that wasn't all that much more expensive than the 533, but I was looking at 1gb sticks.
