I have an Asus M2N4 SLI motherboard with 2 x 1GB Kingston PC2-5300 CL5 DDR2-667 memory. I also have in my possession 2 x 1GB Ocz PC2-5400 Cl 5-5-15 DDR2-667 copper heatspreader. My intentions are to increase the memory to my computer by adding the Ocz memory to the existing Kingston memory. My question is would there be a problem doing this?

No one seems to know the answer to my query. Interesting. Well I had it checked by a local computer store here and there is no problem using either the two Kingston memory sticks by themselves or using the two OCZ memory sticks by themselves - computer boots up perfectly. But using all four memory sticks together apparently are not compatible as the computer would not boot up.

I am surprised that no one could even give me any suggestions whatsoever on these memory sticks.

Was OCZ tech support any better at providing correct answers? :) At least with Kingston, persistence will eventually put the customer in touch with a real technician or even an engineer.

Many motherboards can't operate at maximum memory speed when all the DIMM slots are filled. The BIOS should automatically compensate for this as needed and slow the memory timings, or you may have to slow them manually, especially when inferior quality memory is used.
