Nope. All amd processors use DDR1. Besides, there's no reason to use DDR2; its more expensive and slower than normal DDR.

slower??? i thought the opposite... i was thinking alsomaybe was a good idea to buy ddr2 and to keep the modules for future upgrade because i read that amd is going to move in the future to ddr2

The benefits of faster clock speeds of DDR2 are outweighed by the poor timings. So really DDR gives better performance than DDR2 as of now.

because of the way cas latency is calculated, cas 3 at 533 or 566 (can't remember) is equivalent to cas 2 at 400, ddr2 prices are dropping but i don't know how great an investment they'll be, amd will probably stay on ddr2 for at most 2 years, earlier this year intel said it would phase out ddr2 if amd skipped it and went to ddr3, ddr2 is considered to be a poor standard

Ah!

It will be interesting to see 1:1 on DDR2 with Intel plataforms.

No more need for dual channel, and lower cost mobos for everyone.
