ddr2 memory size question

I currently have 512mb of ddr2 at 4,4,4,12 timings and i want to upgrade to more memory. Would I be better off getting 1 gig of faster timing memory or 2 gigs of slower timings?which would be better for games and all around performance?

It depends how how much difference there is between the timings. Also, it depends on what speed.

they are both ddr2 533mhz ,the 1 gig is ocz memory at 3,2,2,8 timings.The 2 gigs are pqi memory at 4,4,4,12. which do u think would be better?

For anything but very specialized memory intensive apps (VMWare, Phtooshop, etc) anything more than 1Gb is a waste. Save your money.
