This is the system I am building

Case: LIAN LI PC-V1100BPlus II
Power Supply: PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad
MOBO: EVGA 122-CK-NF68-A1
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750
Heatsink: Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme
HDD: Western Digital Raptor 74GB + Western Digital Caviar RE2 WD5000ABYS 500GB (archive)
Video Card: EVGA 640-P2-N821-AR GeForce 8800GTS
DVD Burners: Pioneer DVR-112D / Pioneer DVR-212D

The Memory of choice is CORSAIR XMS2DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) TWIN2X2048-6400C4.
But since EVGA supports DDR2 1066 I am contemplating CORSAIR XMS2 DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) TWIN2X2048-8500C5.
The system is not going to be overclocked. Everything is going to run at stock speeds.
I would like to know how much of a performance gain should I expect by jumping from 800 to 1066.

if you overclock both cpu & memory, get the 8500.
Yes it does help in performances as well.
I play lot of sim games and every n mhz increase helps pushing the frame rate.

Just a comment on the Lian-Li cases with power supplies mounted on the bottom. They usually don't leave much room for the CPU cooler, espcially with the 680i mobos. Make sure that the distance between the edge of your huge cooler will actually fit in your case.

If you've checked this, ignore my message, looks like a fun system!

No, I didn't check yet.
Thanks for the heads-up. :)

Did you buy either the case or the PSU already? They will be very tight-fit together. I'd consider a 1200.
