DDR2-800 or DDR2-1000

If I put ddr2-1000 5-5-5-15 into a board that supports only ddr2-800, will it be better then putting in ddr2-800?

If it runs! Some boards only support what they claim to support or lower. I think it's established in the BIOS.

only if you are overclocking or you run it slower than 1000 with tighter timings
