Hi Friends,

I purchased a new PC with following Config.
Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6320 @ 1.86GHz
Memory : Transcend JetRam 2GB(2 Modules each of 1GB) DDR2-667Mhz.
Mother Board: DG965RY

On CMOS it shows as DDR2-667 Mhz. but when i run utilities like SiSoftware Sandra Lite XI.SP2, PCWizard 2007, cpu-z-140
Following is what i get. it show DDR2-333 Mhz. Have a got a wrong memory module or is it faulty ?

PLS Guide.

Hi Striped,

1. Let me confirm you its DDR2-667 and not ddr-667.

2. If 667 represents speed 667Mhz can you explain how come 333 MHz is correct.
I don't understand also I don;t have any Manuals.

Regards

Well, it doesn't matter. All Double Data Rate SDRAM including DDR, DDR2 and DDR3 double transfer rates. Thus a 333 MHz DDR2 chip has an effective clock rate of 2*333=667 MHz.
