<< ALi, part of the Acer Group of Taiwan, already has rights to make chipsets for Pentiums II and III, so the agreement, confirmed yesterday, is not entirely unexpected....In the meantime (Intel) is promoting the Pentium 4, Rambus chipset and all, with discounts and a massive $300 million worldwide advertising campaign >>

Geez...give me some of that money and I will buy a p4!!!😛

I have lots of things that I'd buy before the P4 even comes into the equation!🙂

I personally dont trust things made by ALI, their DDR P3 mobos are pathetic, along with other K6 mobos they made, all RUBBISH.

Article also states...

<< VIA, the world's biggest chipset maker, has said for months that it too is developing a P4 chipset, but it hasn't secured Intel's signature - yet. >>

Maybe Intel has some sort of conspiracy going on...

My Super Socket 7 board used an ALi chipset and it was EVIL.

I had more problems with that board than any other.
