ddr vs sdram video encoding?

hey, running ecs k7s5a with 256mb sdram, 1500+ xp cpu. was wondering if switching over to ddr would give much of a speed boost during video encoding.

thanks

Hey there,

Generally, speaking NO. Video encoding such as to DIVX and such is CPU intensive. I am not saying there would be a little bit
here and there but nothing major. Upgrading the CPU would be the best. My XP 1600+ is good but if I had something
like a 2400+...wow watch out. Again I could o'c, but I like my system to run stable and besides alot of TV cards don't
do good running on o'c systems.
