Okay...

Apacer PC2100 266Mhz is out......128MB~ $179
Apacer Rambus 700mhz also out....128MB~ $189

Gigabyte AMD 761 mobo.................~ $170
Intel i850 mobo.......................~ $230

Let's say, you can get P4-1.4Ghz and T-bird 1.4Ghz(just assume AMD also has 1.4Ghz) at same price.

Which one will you get? Little explaination will be appreciated.

thanks,

AMD Athlon clearly @ 1.4ghz. The 1.2Ghz Athlon is quicker then the P4 1.4ghz at most things, imagine how a 1.4ghz Athlon would compare!!

Cheers..

AMD Athlon @ 1.4ghz. I'm unimpressed with the P4's performance and I refuse to give Rambus my business.

Rambus is faster but isn't available for all platforms esp in the value market. the only chipset that has Rambus implemented correctly is Intel's 850 chipset.

Rambus won't be mainstream for at least a year, because whether we like it or not we NEED Rambus.

I can already imagine memory bandwith 10+gb/sec
