DDR vs. PC133

How much of a performance difference is there???

A pretty nice boost right now - great considering the prices are nearly the same at www.crucial.com

I would go DDR right now over PC133. You wont see DRASTIC differences, but coupled with a nice t-bird, it will smoke everything else.

From what I've seen, DDR motherboards don't outperform KT133A (with 266mhz bus) by a lot. The biggest improvement, from what I understand, come from the 266mhz bus, up from the 200mhz bus.

But DDR memory and motherboards dont' cost a terrible amount more than SDR ram and motherboards, so if you can get it, get the DDR.

Very little. Mainly in benchmarks...but who lives by those anyhow?

Another thing most DDR boards aren't overclock friendly, thats why I stuck with the kt133a instead. Even though DDR ram is cheap, it's good to save money when you can.
