I'm about to upgrade to a 1.4Ghz T-bird / DDR mobo setup, and i was wondering which of these is best for stability / speed?

Abit KG7-RAID
Asus A7V266
Epox EP-8K7A+

All three are available to buy here in the UK now, so which should i punt for?

Stability and Speed while not oced, A7V266. It is a fair ocing board, but the fsb can't go above 138MHz because of a KT266 bug. 8K7A+ is good, but if u want the best Stability/Performance/Ocing combo, u can't go wrong with KG7-RAID. A7V266 is a tad faster than KG7-RAID, 8K7A+ is fair performance but has the best ocing feature set. KG7 has all 3, so I'd go with KG7-RAID.

im not sure how the a7v266 compares to the a7m266, whether its newer or not, but from what i've seen the a7m is a NICE board.

In the Hard OCP review of the Asus A7V266, they got the FSB to 160 / 320DDR

so are you sure you're not thinking of the A7A266?

OcUK (where i'm buying my mobo from), have had excellent results from it too

Thats without USB, USB dies at 137/138 FSB on ALL KT266 boards. For DDR I think the EPoX 8K7A is the best choice right now if you OC. I think the A7V266 will be a good choice for non-ocers. Abit KG7 isnt really the best OCer, tho it does have the best feature set and OCing capability combined, but I think the EPoX 8K7A is the best overall value for sure, it offers excellent stability, excellent ocing, and its performance is BARELY below the KG7, never noticable, and if you OC high that will BY FAR more then make up for it.

I just got the Gigabyte 7dxr and love it! Prior to this I had an Epox 8kha, Shuttle ak31 and an MSI kt266 Pro R.. Got sick of the USB problems and switched to a 760 board. This board is by far the nicest board I have ever used. Tons of features, tweaks, speed and stability. You never know, I might just leave this board in for a month or two :)
