DDR SDRAM or just regular SDRAM?

Hello, later in the year, when the Palomino's come out, I hope to upgrade to the 1.7Ghz chip from my P3 1Ghz. I currently have 256MB PC133 CAS2 SDRAM. Would it be worth my while upgrading to DDR RAM at the same time? Or do you think it woul dbe possible for me to use my current RAM on the new motherboard and purchase the DDR RAM at a later date?

Some motherboards support both SDRAM and DDR RAM.

However, the Palomino will probably make much better use of the increased bandwidth of DDR, so then it might be a good option to switch to DDR.

pretty much...check out crucial.com...lil over 200 bucks for 512mbs is what i paid....hey when is the palomino suppose to debute
