ddr ram v.s. flash memory

RAM will trumph flash anyway. Since RAM can hit theoretical speeds of 10000MB/s fairly easily. But efficiency and interface have lots to be desired.

the real question is which is faster IDE interface or or the PCI bus (or PCI-E if it exists?)

technically RAM is faster. but it requires a constant trickle of electricity to keep data. flash in non-volatile. it's comparing apples to oranges as it is a completely different technology.
