DDR Ram Mhz seem off?

JBT

Lifer
okay this seems weird to me I have my FSB running at 139 multi is 12.5 meaning I have my system at 1741Mhz.
My ram is PC2700 ram from crucial It for some reason is running at 345mhz DDR meaning 172Mhz how. Is that happening and how can I stop it from running on top of the already high FSB. I was having probablems running at 166FSB. now I know why the memory was at 380Mhz!!! while the comp FSB was only at 333 DDR.

I donno where the ratio settings are does any one know where the ratio setting for a MSI KT3 ULtra 2 are in the bios I can't find them =(

YEAH I did that thanks for being a A$$ hole about it I have looked at my manuel and downloaded one from MSI too I'm not a idiot. It has nothing about it. I asked because I have heard many people here using a FSB of 166 with this board. I assumed they knew about this. Thank you for nothing budman. dick

in the BIOS, under Advanced Chipset Features->DRAM Timing Control, what is the SDRAM Frequencey set to? It sounds like you have it set to HCLK+33, you want it set to just HCLK.

Look in chapter 3 of your manual dumbass, Advanced chipset > Dram timing control > then SDRAM FREQUENCY Setting are spd , HCLK (same as fsb) HCLK +33 , HCLK + 66.

page 58 of the online manual, next time open your eyes.

Edit : Looks like Yomicron beat me to it.

Advanced Chipset Features
Dram Timing control

SDRAM frequency HCLK <-- runs at the FSB check that

3-13 of manual
