DDR Ram Compatibility Question

I was going to strip a piece of DDR Ram out of another PC and place it into my current computer with DDR Ram as well. Will I be able to use these both in the same computer if they run at different speeds i.e. PC***. I know with the SD Ram you could place PC133 with PC100 and it would run at the PC100 speed, but I am not sure with the DDR. Also I know that DDR and DDR2 are not compatible, but I was just curious as to whether or not they have different pin configurations.

Thank you bunches

Yes you can, they'll just run at the same speed (the slowest chip decides the speed), you might have trouble booting if you're overclocking though.
