Ok i got a shuttle ak31 rev3.1 board, xp1600 amd, 256 crucial cas2 ddr ram, my ram is running at 266mhz speed, am I right or is it runing at 133 when i boot up i see the ram spped at 266. I see people that run the ram to like 155 what are u guys doing are u guys overclocking the ram? What things i can do in the bios to make sure i got fastest settings?

Yes, they are overclocking and may be using PC2400 (double pumped 150MHz) or PC2700 (double pumped 166MHz).

I am not familar with you motherboard, so I suggest reading the manual cover to cover. Also, check for user group web sites (search on Google).

Looks like you got good ram, so make sure you are taking advantage of the cas setting on your mobo.

Like cmaMath, my board is not a Shuttle, so BIOS page items may be different.

I suggest that you visit the 'Shuttle Motherboards' forum at amdmb.com for best dram timings/settings for your Shuttle board.

That forum is very active and is specific to Shuttle mobo users.

Hope this helps!
