;) Nobody will know for certain, but from many online sources I would estimate the prices will continue to rise over the next month or so and then begin to steadily decrease, prob December should see them back down to the previous (June) levels. If you NEED that RAM before Oct then I would advise you buy now, if you aren't desperate for it then I would advise waiting. This is only MHO and there are no certainties, I'm just giving you my best educated guess.

I believe the annual pattern on RAM is always up in summer, start to decrease in fall, and yes, rock bottom in winter.

$50 is too bad, I remember it was in the $70's. But the PC2400 and 2700 will be a bit more expensive. As for when they go down.... not sure, just varies.

From what i've seen, i think RAM prices have topped off and will not rise too much anymore. The prices for the last 2 weeks have been steady.

I sure as hell (can we say that?) hope they drop, I need to pick up 2 sticks of PC2700 512mb RAM within the next month or two here. Gotta have something in my new rig.

hmm...you didn't read the CompUSA and Bestbuy ads this week?
PNY 256MB PC2100 all $29 after rebate.

p.s. my local CompUSA's PNY are Infenion(sp?) RAM at 7ns. BUT!!!!!!! it doesn't run well at 166Mhz.
