Hello,

I looked at pricewatch and saw that PC2100 is much cheaper than 2400 ... so , performancewise, is there a big difference between those two ? ...

and also , is it a right time to do an upgrade ?

thanks ,
bye :)

I agree, in this bussiness there is never a bad time to upgrade. It may be more expensive, but it will offer more performance in the long run.

Well, PC2400 is like PC150. It's PC2100 that is certified to run at 150MHz(300MHz DDR) CAS2. So if u plan on ocing the fsb to 150MHz and beyond, then PC2400 may be worth it. But high quality PC2100 (Crucial for example) will easily run at 150MHz at CAS3. You make the call

PC2400 is not an official standard. As already mentioned, it is PC2100 that is guaranteed to do 150. PC2100 and PC 2400 should give similar performance if run at the same speed/CL. If you plan on doing some serious oc'ing then PC2400 may benefit you.
