<< an assumption is neither wrong or right >>

All Jews should be eliminated from the world by painful torture and invasive child-aborting techniques.

Hey, you know, even if you didn't take Statistics 101, 3-0 is pretty good odds.

<< hahaaaa

I love it..

So, there is a WHOPPING 3 of you guys that say your chips overclock well

Oh wow.. **clap clap**
>>

Uh yeah, everyone who has a northy in here LOL

Do enjoy making a complete fool of yourself?

<< so, I assume Intel only put about about a dozen or so of these Northwood's on release.. so, yeah.. that would make 3 out of 12 a pretty good assumption of their overclockability 😉 >>

Find one person here who has a northwood that can't overclock it AT LEAST 200 mhz if they try. Until you do you are nothing more than a BS artist who can't admit he screwed up.

<< damn.. I wish I was as cool as Tex, and had damn near 3000 posts and only being on here the same amount of time as me 😉 >>

I know you do but some things are just too unatainable for you like self confidence, accuracy, puberty...I could be here all day making a list. 😉

<< You should get yourself a job, or a life, or something and stop worrying about TRYING to be so damn superior .. but if thats your cup of tea.. Then so be it.. my hats off to ya.. 😉 >>

It has nothing to do with being superior, you were WRONG saying northwoods don't overclock well but your moronic EGO got in the way of simply owning up to your mistake.

3 people have proved you wrong in this forum below. article after article about the northwoods from Toms Hardware to Anandtech have proved you wrong yet you persist living in ignorance.

I've rarely seen someone with such low self esteem they can't even admit they made a mistake.

Very sad not to mention pathetic. 🙂

This is kind of an odd thread.........you open by saying you have a Northwood coming, you inquire about which ram to use to overclock.........then you go on to say the Northwoods won't be good overclockers...........several people post that theirs will/does overclock well............and you argue that they don't/won't?????? Unless something is missing here, what is it exactly you are looking for???? Were you hoping that yours would be the only good overclocking Northwood out or are you saying all Northwoods won't be very good overclockers even though the forums and tech. sites are full of people whom own Northwoods and are overclocking them for the most part by 300+Mhz...............You said you were getting one a few days ago, has it arrived so that you may find out for yourself????? I will be receiving my second Northwood today to put in the Asus P4S333 and will hopefully verify another one which will do just as well as the first I have and everyone elses I've talked to.............I just can't see what you are arguing about............

oh whipdee f ucking dooo

2.0 Ghz.. 2.4 Ghz.. Its all for bragging rights anyway.. I could care less..

I started the thread to inuire about what ram would be best to use.... a respone came later, about someone saying to keep the PC2100 and see if that would overclock..

Then know it all Tex, and a few other of his followers just come in here claiming they know everything on the face of their earth..

trying to make it sound like I technically CLAIMED that NW's would not be good overclockers..
Its called an assumption.. Just because those few got good overclocks.. doesn't mean every one is going to overclock like that..
I mean $hit.. my 2.0A might be a dud, and only go up 100mhz.. whipdee doo
