DDR or RDRAM better for P4 3ghz hyperthreading CPU??

Is the higher clocked RDRAM still the choice for the P4 with 533 mhz bus or is there a better DDR solution? I need to catch up on a few things so that why I need your help....

rdram is 'currently' faster in every way over ddr. Costs more and may change in future perhaps (hint: Granite Bay) w/ DDR 2....

For now RDRAM is fastest but Dual Channel DDR is coming.

But DDR II will be released in to the stores in the Q1-Q2 of the next year and they will probably be a pricy so it really isnt worth waiting for.

So will Dual Channel DDR double the current rate at which data is transfered in DDR as we know it today??
