i just wanted to ask one simple thing..... dont all ddr boards only have 2 dimm slots at the moment??? there is only one that i know of that has more.. the abit kg7 (i think)- it has four slots rite?? when is that board coming out in the uk?
The KG7 has 4 DIMMs, but you have to use registered RAM to use more than two.
All boards based on the AMD 760 chipset at present only have 2 DIMMs, other chipsets support more.
Asus also has boards with 3 slots. As for the Abit yes it has 4 slots. Not sure when they will be in the UK, im glad im in the USA, I would hate to be stuck trying to get stuff shipped overseas.
All the new KT266 motherboards have at least 3 dims, which is definately more flexible then 2 found in the Amd760, the Msi K7T266 has 2, the Shuttle Ak31 has 4, the new Abit motherboard that should launch soon, the KR7, will have 4.
