DDR motherboards require DDR-SDRAM, and cannot be used with any other type of RAM. I've looked at a lot of motherboards lately, and I thoguth I remembered a brand new one that had both DDR and regualr SDRAM slots on it, but I could be mistaken. It might have been a board based on the new ALi or SiS DDR chipsets, but can anyone confirm this? DDR is pretty cheap right now if you order through someone like Crucial you'll pay only the same amount as PC133, so you'll actually be paying a lot more for the MB than the RAM.
Personally, I prefer holding on to my old RAM. Having RAM means you can build another system in the future.
