any compatibilty problems between all these components?
🙂

May I ask why? Ah, in either case, I recommend the K7 Master, it's a very stable board, and it's very easy to setup.

2 stage power? Quesionable support for Athlon 4's, 2 Dimm Slots...

I'm in the same boat (building a DDR system). I will not buy the Epox for the above reasons. If you like your board that is great, I am not dissing anyone for buying the board. I'm just saying it's not for me and a few other people have the same views.

AGP Pro is a longer slot with more pins and an external connector for more power. It is currently useless since there are no AGP Pro video cards.

Well, you dont have to overclock if you use the Epox, anyway, its all up to you.

If you prefer having MSI or Gigabyte, great.

The new Gigabyte GA-7DXR is a fantastic board, more features than most, rock solid, overclocking, RAID, dual bios, best performer oh and it's blue too, but people in the US are having trouble getting hold of one. I live in the UK so it wasn't a prob.

i just noticed that you have a 3com NIC umm i don't know about everyone's experience w/ them but i have worked with about 200 of them and had problems w/ about 50 of them... it was not a hardware problem but the 3com drivers would always go flaky and get to the point where you couldn't boot windows (you would have to go into safe mode cuz it gave you a really bad message that i can't remember remove the card from the sys properties then reboot and install it again w/ newer drivers) this was to say the least a pain in the butt and happened w/ win95 and 98 (i have had no probs w/ it in 2k but haven't used them on ME) i would suggest you just get something like a netgear, linksys, or d-link (no probs w/ those) and the are much cheaper to boot.
