I am facing a very big delimma, I just sold my computer and now I am computer less except for my parents that im using to post this message.

I really want a DDR solution, like the KG7-RAID, but it appears that wont be sold for at least a month, I CANT WAIT THAT LONG, I need a computer.

I have soo many questions:
Should I still get a DDR mobo, and if so please give me your best suggestion for what can be bought currently.

I dont care about raid, or having only 2 slots, but I dont want onboard audio cause I know it will suck.

Should I just stick with the sdram systems, like the kt7e? and just buy lots of GOOD memory.

I want a system that would last me at least 2years! I would love to be able to overclock, i want at least a Thunderbird 1.3 ghz.

I REALLY NEED SOME HELP!
This is really a tough decision for me to make and I have no one else who know enough about computers for me to ask.

Im gonna go crazy if I dont get a computer soon, literally crazy.

I have 3 things in life.

1. My girlfriend.
2. My computer.
3. My job.
4. School.

Ok, enough of my crazy psycho babble.

Please give me any help you can!!!
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!

<< EPoX 8K7A, Gigabyte GA-7DXR if your want to go 760 >>

yes, these are the current choices, you can wait for the new Abit, but that doesn't change the picture. These newer AMD 760 boards are all very good performers and very stable. If you don't liek the chipset, you have to wait a couple of months for SiS or nVidia crush DDR boards to get (maybe?) more performance

Epox 8K7A. Solid performer, very stable, AMD 760 chipset, and currently only $135 at newegg.com. Can't go wrong!

Yeah I'm interested in the AMD chipset. One thing about the epox is the onboard audio. Any other good choices without the audio? What do yall think about asus' and the ali chipset?

Also, how much memory do you think a person who does Graphic Design/Web Design would need? 512, would that be enough or would I probally want more in the future?

Thanks for the replys!
