Well about a month ago i decided i need to get off my butt, so i bought a PSOne, 2 pads, and ddr kona mix.

So yesterday i finally get around to setting it al up, and all i can say is WOW! i played through all the lessons, yesterday, and started the game mode today. I gotta say this is FUN. And its great exersize if your like me and dont really do much physical activity. I'm planning oon playing every day, hopefully an hour.

I will admit that i was a little intimidated by it, but the lesson mode really gets you acustomed with the moves.

I HIGHLY recomend this for anyone who dosent get much exersize and likes games. you really get into trying to get better and better.

Anyone else play this on a regular basis?

dance dance revolution.

a friend of mine actually did the same, they bought a PSOne just for this.

I don't play at home anymore, but I do at arcades now and then. If you like Konamix, you should really check out the more recent mixes, like Max, Max2, and Extreme. Really great songs.

If you want to play at home extensively, I suggest looking into some PlayStation to USB converters for your pads and downloading Stepmania, a DDR simulator. It's a great way to get mixes and songs that you can't find in the US on the PS versions. Also, you get a taste of the DDR Extreme interface and options (plus more SM-specific stuff). Edit: Also, you get arcade mixes at home, which is nice.

Glad you picked it up.🙂

Hmm, I was thinking of ordering a couple of pads for my DC.

You should, i got mine, they are cheapo, from ebay. I figure when i break the first one, i will have the 2nd one too. Lots of people claim slow responce from the cheap ones, but it really seems to depend on which you get. Mine seem fine

Yeah, i bought a PSOne just for this specific purpose. Actually the game was the most expensive part, about $30 shipped

I guess the only real problem i have, is that when you have to hit bothe the right and left arrows at the same time, in jump to them, like yopu prtty muich have to, but after that i start jumping all over the place, hehe

For the double-step ones, you have to jump, but for the single step, you have to try to keep one foot down at all times. Also, after time, the step transitions (i.e. right foot on up arrow and a down arrow coming, followed by a right arrow) will come instinctively.

Just in case you were wondering, it's right foot/up then left foot/down then right foot/right.

It's important to remember that its always advantageous to keep your feet out on the arrows as much as you can, dont return them back to teh middle.
