DDR for the Wii ... any good? / how do the pads work?

Apparently the new DDR came out last week. All the local stores will only tell me that they have a bundle and don't really know much else. I have 3 pads for the xbox and don't want to invest another $100 in pads if I don't need.

Has anyone picked this up? Is it worth paying for if I already have 2 ddr games for the xbox?

How do the pads work? One store said they were wireless and another said they hook into the controller. My guess is that both are wrong and they hook into the console like a gamecube controller might?

If they are wired and hooked into the console, are there adapters to go from xbox->gamecube? I see ps2->gamecube but no xbox->gamecube or xbox->ps2 even.

All in all I have no idea what to make of this new DDR.

Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party is a title for the Wii from Konami released in 2007. It is an installment in the popular rhythm game series Dance Dance Revolution. In addition to the traditional dance pad, which utilizes the Wii's Nintendo GameCube controller ports, Hottest Party also supports the Wii Remote and Nunchuk attachment, allowing the user to use their hands while playing.

I haven't heard anything about the new version except it uses the Wiimote and nunchuck somehow. There aren't many review up yet but the ones that are there are good.

Personally I think having one version DDR is more than enough but I know some people are crazy about this game.

Aha so it is GC ports. So now I just need to find some way to adapt an xbox port to the gc... wonder if such a thing exists?

If this release is anything like DDR Universe for the 360, they won't have the game itself (i.e. sans a dance pad) until around a month afterward.
